JAKARTA FASHION WEEK 2018: WARNA
NY by Novita Yunus collaborate together with Aeshaane in Jakarta Fashion Week 2018 to showcase the Fall/Winter Collection titled WARNA. The collection is inspired by both Indonesian and Indian Cultures, especially the Indian Festival of Holi. Following the playful collection of “NY Pasar Malam” from Jakarta Fashion Week 2017 combined with the Holi, the collection brings you a playful vibrant color palettes such as : red, magenta, purple, green, and orange. From the inspiration, then comes the name WARNA, which means “colors” in Indonesian and Hindi. It also means “The look of a woman” in Sanskrit.
JAKARTA FASHION WEEK 2017: BUMI LANGIT
The Bumi Langit (Earth and Sky) Autumn/Winter 2017 collection by NY is prepared for the Amazon India Fashion Week 2017 to be held in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. The collection is inspired by the idea of balancing the colour pallettes of the autumn leaves and the cold winter sky. Bumi is represented by the falling leaves and Langit is symbolized by the Surya Majapahit (The Sun of the Kingdom of Majapahit). The collection is using an eco-print process by taking the color and pattern of leaves on different kind of textiles. the earth and sky colors are expressed in varieties of kaftans, palazzos, traditional embroidered kebayas and other fashion items.

JAKARTA FASHION WEEK 2014: NY HAT GEOMETRY
The collection "HAT Geometry" is the first collection from NY by Novita Yunus created for Indonesia Fashion Forward's incubator program from Jakarta Fashion Week 2014 collaboration with French multinational Oil&Gas Company TOTAL S.A . the collection inspired from "Topi Cahung Kalimantan", a handmade hat from Borneo which is one of CSR program from TOTAL that empowered local crafts.
Amazon Tokyo Fashion Week
NY by Novita Yunus showcase collection FALL/WINTER 2018 with the title “AGAINST THE TIDE” on the Asian Fashion Meets Tokyo session, Amazon Fashion Week Tokyo 2018. The collection is inspired by the idea of thinking outside of the box and not just go with the flow of the current fashion trend; Combines two different techniques on its collection, Batik from Indonesia and Shibori from Japan.
While the normal process would be to Batik first then dye in the Shibori technique, this time it is the other way around. The plain fabric will be put in Shibori first, then it will turn out as the background color. After the fabric has rest and complete with Shibori, Batik technique of wax-resist dyeing will be put on top it. These Batik and Shibori fabric will be made on linen, silk, cotton and rayon. The overall collection will also be showcasing some Garut hand woven silk to give some texture and depth.
“Being outside the box and moving forward differently than others” in this collection doesn’t only mean making different outcome in the result but also by showing that you can always combine or mix different cultures into one. NY by Novita Yunus wants to show how it can work by acculturating both Indonesia and Japan. Two countries that have strong traditional backgrounds in art and craftsmanship.
Fashion Nation Senayan City 2019: Fashion Culture
NY by Novita Yunus showcase collection FALL/WINTER 2019 with the title “NY THREAD” on the Fashion Nation 2019 -Fashion Culture held on Senayan City, Jakarta. The collection inspired by the technique thread manipulation using “PAKAN” and “LUNGSI” in Indonesia. The collection itself consist in “Ikat Kanoko” that applied in handwoven from Sumba, Garut, Tuban, Flores mixing with Shibori technique and touch of Songket Bali
Toraja International Festival
Toraja Kaboro collection consisting of casual and semi-formal clothes with applications of embroidery and printed motifs made in kaftans, one-piece, kimono, two pieces, and also boxing scissors clothes model, besides that there are also men’s clothes such as Printed Shirt with Toraja Motifs. The process of making a Toraja Collection are used various methods including weaving on silk cloth, silk cloth embroidered with typical Toraja motifs, fabrics from Toraja that are labeled with various motifs inspired by beautiful Toraja. Then to complete the final look, NY choose some accessories such as rattan sling bags from Kalimantan, and also a necklace with onyx stone as a pendant. In Toraja Kaboro collection, the color that used are dominant in black, white, red, and brown inspired by “Tongkonan” which a traditional houses of Toraja.

NY by Novita Yunus showcase collection SPRING/SUMMER 2019 with the title “NY TIE” on the Jakarta Fashion Week 2019 courtesy of Indonesia Fashion Forward and collaborated with Makoto Washizu, designer and stylish from Japan. The collection inspired by the “Teknik ikat” (in English called TIE) from Indonesia that used in sustainable material for promoting sustainable fashion. The material used Rosella fibre and Garut silk-woven with the technique hand-stamp using sponge and natural dyes, also with shibori technique from Japan, and finishing with “Ikat Kanoko” (Kanoko bonding technique).

NY by Novita Yunus showcase collection SPRING/SUMMER 2019 with the title “NY PURE” on the Jakarta Fashion Week 2019 courtesy of Pesona Sisterhood. The collection inspired by the atmosphere eastern Indonesian coast (ex. Sulawesi, Maluku, Papua). The dominant color pallete is white using materials made with hand-woven, lace, embroidery combined with wastra Indonesia such as Sumba hand-woven, Wakatobi hand-woven, and little touch of Garut hand-woven. One of the unique technique used in this collection is hand-stamp using banana bark combine with embroidery as finishing touch.

NY by Novita Yunus x KBRI Tunis present “NY Tundra” as a continuation program Jakarta Fashion Week and Tunis Fashion Week earlier in July 2019. The variety of collections consist in Kaftan, Loose Pants, Ankle Puff Pants, Tunic, Sleeveless as Apparel mix style with Silk Turban, Necklaces from Mash and Wired, and Heels.
This collection used many techniques in the textile material such as Shibori, sponge stamp, Garutan Silk. combined with Kanoko tie, and macrame as an accent. The Textile processing in this collection also promotes sustainable fashion using natural dyes of indigo blue and brown, macrame, and Gunny sack.
